ABOUT US
Our Forensic Team is led by Jim Stafford with 47 years of engineering experience.
Jim Stafford, ACI, ACE
For over 49 years, Jim has developed the skills and experience in engineering to become the leading force behind Eclipse Recording Studios www.eclipserecording.com. In 2005, he took his passion for media engineering and production, where he’s garnered the deep understanding of how audio and video technologies function in a production environment, to start a new division within the business, called Eclipse Forensics www.eclipseforensics.com.
Specializing in all forms of audio, video, digital, and mobile device forensics, Jim began this work at the request of Florida’s 7th Judicial Circuit’s Homicide Investigation Unit with the Justin Barber case in 2005. That case and Jim’s efforts, were presented nationally on network and cable television. In 2020, the Florida Supreme Court cited his work in support of a decision they rendered.
Jim, a graduate of George Mason University, has received numerous certifications in the forensic services Eclipse Forensics offers. He regularly participates in ongoing training to stay abreast of the constantly evolving world of forensics.
Since 2005, Eclipse has worked on hundreds of cases for numerous law enforcement jurisdictions, private attorneys and individuals. And with the team Jim has assembled at Eclipse Forensics, we are poised and ready to assist in the development and analysis of audio forensics, video forensics, data forensics and forensics on mobile devices to serve your needs.
We are committed to creating the highest level of service to our clients.
