Remove audio from video
Another frequent request is to enhance the audio from a video. In many cases the video shot is pretty good but the audio is terrible, often making the video unusable. The conditions may be background noise or it might simply be to quiet to hear what is being said.
An example of this is a subject in an interrogation room who is answering questions in a whisper. Just the ambiance of the room alone could drown out his voice. Add air conditioning to that and it’s hopeless.
We frequently solve these problems allowing the video to be used as originally intended. To do this we first extract the audio and import it into an Forensic Audio program where we perform the enhancement process.
Once completed, we then import the enhanced audio back into the video and sync it up. This image shows the original audio from the video in red. The purple audio is the enhanced audio including a large portion that was missing from the original. In this case we not only enhanced the audio but we recovered missing audio.
